The sound

Nobody else in the Valley is
making this record.

The band started in 2021 between refinery shifts in Corpus Christi. Five years later it’s a six-piece that can play a Texas country set and a Tejano set without swapping a single player — because the fiddle, the accordion and the bajo sexto are already on stage. That crossover is the whole point, and in a market that is both 90% Hispanic and saturated with country radio, it is the thing no cover band can copy.

Original catalogue

Six released singles, not a covers set list. “The Traveler” is on radio now.

Full production

Our own PA and stage lighting, run by our own front-of-house engineer. No separate sound vendor.

Both languages

A set that moves between English and Spanish the way the Valley actually does.

The band

Six players.

Rosendo “Chendo” Tienda

Lead vocals · Lead guitar

Weslaco-raised, weaned on Hendrix and Stevie Ray, then on Freddy Fender and Country Roland. He writes the songs and fronts the band.

José Ángel Torres

Fiddle · Accordion

The reason the band can turn a country set into a Tejano set without changing players.

John Maldonado

Rhythm acoustic · Bajo sexto

The bajo sexto underneath a Texas country rhythm section — the sound nobody else in the Valley is making.
